HAPPY NEW YEAR

A few years ago we started a new tradition of opening "crackers" for New Year's Eve. I think they are an English thing, but my mom does it on Christmas Eve and we would buy them and forget, so we started doing it for New Year's Eve. They have a joke, a small toy and paper crowns in them. So here we are in our crowns.

Then we got up at 5:30 am (on a Saturday, no less) to watch a meteor shower. Jeff made hot chocolate.

And, it was cold! Like 40 or something. . . What a way to start a new year!

  1. That's not cold. I'm jealous of the meteor shower though. Why is it that the only one that looks happy is Nicholas? :)

  2. You've lived away from ut too long if you think that's cold. Cool tradition. Where do you buy the crackers? Happy new year.
