Proud Gardeners

Our ward did a project to get everyone to grow a garden. The bishop owns a nursery and was able to get some really good soil/compost mix that is excellent for growing. He also had us plant the seeds and he got the starts going for us at his nursery. Anyway, here is the beginning with only four plants.

Our regular dirt in the yard is like clay, so it is best to have a raised bed with the good stuff in it.

Here it is at one month.
Then it got so big...

We expanded.
First "fruits" of our labor.
Derek and I thought the beets were ready, but Jeff was right--not quite yet. Jeff enjoyed beet greens instead.
